Dating back to Aguada's founding year in 1648, throughout the centuries Aguada's plaza has undergone multiple changes and renovations. The last phase of renovations was finalized in 2005, giving the plaza its current look. In the center of the plaza, you'll find a statue of Christopher Columbus, which was installed in 1993 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Puerto Rico's discovery.
