About
It all begins as a dream of the founder and owner of the company José G. Cruz or better known as "El Chan". His passion for the tobacco industry and what was implanted by his family lineage prompted him to create this great project. There he begins his line, selling his product at a table in front of the crowded "Los Pinos" business, emblematic suckling pig in the Guavate sector, the center of culture and history of Puerto Rico. Then the hiring for weddings and activities begins where culture mixes with the social—making known his product and craft skills. The clientele becomes a fixed one, opening demand for a variety of vitolas and blends. Then giving way to what today is "El Chan cigars" and "Galiz sweets," this last line is inspired by his wife's requests. Having a good movement and the dream to follow its course, El Chan longed to have his factory and distributor. In mid-2020, La Hoja del Chan LLC was born amid a pandemic and looking for a way to progress. For the enjoyment of our customers and welcome to a significant dream.
