Hacienda Don Carmelo

About

This location is an ideal place to celebrate Wedding Ceremonies, Private Receptions and Corporate Events. There are guided tours on the first Saturday of the month, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is also the Horse Breeders Headquarters of the Puerto Rican School of Equestrian Art.

Down the cobblestone path lined with the intoxicating fragrance of jasmine, flowering trees and tropical flora, you’ll find a very unique place that creates Equestrian art as well as living art ...the Paso Fino horse. Hacienda Don Carmelo, a Paso Fino breeding and training facility, is located in the city of Vega Baja, in north Central Puerto Rico. Hacienda Don Carmelo resides on 60 acres of rolling hills overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

The Tree House was built in a Samán Dormilón tree that is nearly 125 years old today. The Tree House was built 23 years ago as a family project led by Don Carmelo’s wife, Sara, to provide a nice house for her grandchildren to play in while at the farm. The Tree House has been featured in many magazines articles and advertisements. Now that the grandchildren have grown, the Tree House offers a special place for weddings, cocktail gatherings, meetings, fashion photos shoots and even locations backdrops for the motion picture industry.
