About
The Guajataca Tunnel of Isabela was constructed in 1904 and it crosses the mountain that separates Playa Guajataca from Playa Mirador. In 2000, it was declared a Historical Monument and it is one of the most visited spots in this part of the Island. Come for a walk thru this tunnel and discover the history and the many surprises it has in store for you.
On weekends, starting at 9:00 AM, visitors can hop on a small ridable miniature train that recreates the journey that Puerto Rico's railway made across the tunnel back in the early 1900s. During your Saturday or Sunday visit, you'll also find food kiosks, artisans selling their unique crafts, and kids can enjoy short rides in ponies or horses.
