This library was founded in 1992 as the first independent, public, and bilingual community library specializing in serving the children and youth of Puerto Rico. In 2004, they were the first Puerto Rican library to receive the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) National Award for Excellence in Community Service. You can visit them on the 3rd floor of the Banco Popular Building on the Plaza Colón in Mayagüez.
