About
The Jobos Bay National Research Reserve is the second largest estuary in Puerto Rico. It covers the towns of Guayama and Salinas and its grounds were acquired by the Department of Natural and Environmental Resources in 1981.
The visitor center has an exhibition room with a photographic and interactive exhibit about the reserve, its ecosystems, its flora and fauna, geography and hydrology, history and the Central Azucarera de Aguirre, among others. It also includes a library for the benefit of students, researchers, and the general public.
