Host Your Event at a Museum or Gallery

Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico

Housed in one of the original buildings of the old San Juan Municipal Hospital is the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico (MAPR). The museum has 24 galleries, including a permanent exhibit of works by more than 150 Puerto Rican artists, as well as a theater, botanical garden, and restaurant. Because of the vastness of this property and variety of event spaces available, MAPR is an ideal location for a large event such as an awards ceremony or annual corporate gathering.

Art Galleries

Along with large-scale museums, the Island is also home to a wide variety of art galleries that showcase the work of Puerto Rican artists. Art galleries are fantastic venues for after-hours and networking events. Many also offer art classes and presentations that you can book for your meeting and conference attendees between their working sessions.

Discover the Urban Art of Ponce

On the south side of the Island, Ponce is a rising destination for art in Puerto Rico. The city is home to the Museo de Arte de Ponce (MAP)—which houses 4,500 pieces dating from the 9th century to the present—and the Plaza Las Delicias, a bustling town square  known for its colorful, life-size lion sculptures designed by local artists. But one of the most talked-about art installations in Ponce is Murales para Pensar (Murals to Make You Think). Beginning as an underground effort to transform abandoned buildings, the project is now one of Puerto Rico’s most vibrant urban art installations, featuring more than 24 artists.
