Throughout Puerto Rico, there are several companies devoted to disability care, so finding wheelchairs and ADA-compliant vehicles is relatively simple, no matter how you arrive on the Island. Check out this list below!

1. Cloud of Goods

Cloud of Goods, a marketplace for mobility device rentals, will deliver products to the Port of San Juan. Simply book devices like lightweight to heavy-duty mobility scooters, standard to ultra-light standard wheelchairs, transport wheelchairs, and standard power chairs online. Once you arrive in Puerto Rico, Cloud of Goods will meet you at a pre-designated area.

2. Special Needs Group® / Special Needs at Sea®

Special Needs Group® / Special Needs at Sea® aims to make accessible travel convenient by letting you find and rent mobility devices like scooters, power chairs, and wheelchairs online. The company will arrange to meet you at the Port of San Juan or at the San Juan Luis Munoz Marin International Airport with your device.

Whether you prefer to travel in a private, wheelchair-accessible van or with a motorized wheelchair, you can enjoy accessible travel in Puerto Rico on your own terms.

3. Go Puerto Rico Shuttle

Go Puerto Rico Shuttle, licensed by the Puerto Rico Public Service Commission, offers round-trip transportation to airports, hotels, private residences, and piers. Great for small groups, this company’s vans accommodate four passengers (with space for one wheelchair), while shuttle buses accommodate ten passengers (with space for one wheelchair).

4. Equipos Pro Impedidos (Pro Disability Team)

Equipos Pro Impedidos (Pro Disability Team) offers wheelchair-accessible transportation to and from airports and hotels. For travelers who prefer to navigate themselves, they also provide wheelchair-accessible van rentals with features like hand controls, transfer seats, steering knobs, lowered floors, and ramped entrances.

5. Rico Sun Tours

Rico Sun Tours, a long-standing local tour company, offers private transportation to and from San Juan Luis Munoz Marin International Airport. Their wheelchair-accessible vans fit up to six passengers and includesluggage assistance.

6. Public Buses and Light Rail

Puerto Rico’s public transportation is ADA-accessible. However, buses and Tren Urbanos (or light rails) do not travel the entire Island, so visitors with specific mobility needs should not exclusively rely on public transportation when venturing into other regions.
